Bashkiria resident threatened to commit terrorist attack on plane to Sheremetyevo
In Moscow, the transport police detained an air passenger on board the plane at the Sheremetyevo airport on November 9. The man tried to get into the cockpit, threatening to commit a terrorist attack, TASS reports, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs' transport department's press service in the Central Federal District.
According to the department, the duty unit received information that the police were needed on board the plane "Moscow - Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky" due to the passengers' inappropriate behavior.
It turned out that a 24-year-old resident of Bashkiria was trying to get into the cockpit right before the flight. He ignored the warnings and threatened to commit a terrorist attack. The man was detained. Law enforcement officers checked the plane - no dangerous objects were found.
A criminal case has been initiated against the airborne bogeyman under the article "knowingly false reporting of an act of terrorism."
