FSB: Terrorist attack was planned in Ufa - details of special operation on Demskaya highway

The FSB Directorate for Bashkiria reported the details of a special operation on the Demskaya highway on March 21. The security forces had to block the highway to prevent casualties among the civilian population.

As it became known from the press service of the department, law enforcement officers asked to stop a Toyota car in which the alleged gangster was moving.

“In response to the demand to lay down arms and surrender to the authorities, he opened fire. As a result of the ensuing combat, the offender was neutralized. A gun and an improvised explosive device were discovered at the site of the shootout. According to reports, the neutralized gangster intended to commit a terrorist attack,” the FSB of the republic specified.

There were no casualties among the civilian population and no losses among the law enforcement officers.
