Works continue to eliminate accident consequences at POLIEF in Bashkiria

In Blagoveshchensk, works are ongoing to eliminate the consequences of an emergency at the POLIEF enterprise. Recall, last week, the sewage collection tank partially collapsed at the plant.
At present, work is underway on the site to create the fourth pit-trap in order to prevent part of the industrial wastewater from entering nearby water bodies. According to the State Committee RB for Emergency Situations, 24 units of heavy equipment are involved at the site.
The third pit is also being filled using six motor pumps and a fire pump station.
An additional survey of the Kazmyshly River and the territory adjacent to it was organized, in total about 6 kilometers from the scene of the accident to the place of the pits creation. Water samples were taken at four points and sent for analysis to the laboratory.
