Moscow - Ufa aircraft returned to airport of departure due to birds hitting windshield

A UTair airline plane was forced to return to Vnukovo Airport on August 16. The situation, according to the press service of the airline, occurred due to a flock of birds. Several birds hit the windshield of the aircraft, the crew decided to return to Moscow. The windshield has remained intact.

“The landing is safe. The airline is changing the plane. Departure to Ufa is scheduled for 15:30 Moscow time”, UTair representatives explained.

Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported that yesterday the Ural Airlines plane flying from Zhukovsky airport to Simferopol made an emergency landing in a cornfield due to engine failure hit by birds. The entire crew and passengers survived.
