Superjet flying to Ufa had collision warning system failure

The incident in the sky with the Superjet aircraft heading from Novy Urengoy to Ufa took place in the afternoon on May 23. The pilot-in-command in the sky over the Urals reported on problems in the collisions warning system and requested landing.

According to Interfax, citing a source in the air traffic control authorities, the crew was given permission for the descent. The Superjet continued its flight to the capital of Bashkiria at the minimum appropriate level.

The plane successfully flew to Ufa. None of the crew members and passengers were injured.

As the Bashinform agency reported earlier, today due to a technical reason, the Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft could not fly from Ufa on schedule. The delay was about five hours.
