Fugitive from justice in Austria will face trial in Bashkiria

In the Salavat district, the case of a 32-year-old entrepreneur accused of fraud was transferred to the court. According to the republican prosecutor's office, in 2016-2017, Denis Edrenkin, as the director of Agro Trading company, signed contracts with a number of enterprises in the Salavat district on the supply of mineral fertilizers. He set prices lower than the market ones, explaining this with direct contacts with the manufacturer. He received 60 million rubles from agricultural enterprises, delivered them a small part of the order, and misappropriated the bulk of the funds.

When a criminal case was initiated, the “businessman” hid from the investigation in Austria, he was put on the international wanted list and was extradited to his homeland last year. According to Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation he faces imprisonment for up to five years and a large fine. He did not compensate for the damage, most likely; the court will oblige him to do it, the prosecutor's office explained.
