Number of murders decreased by 20% in Bashkiria

In 2018, the Interior Ministry officers disclosed more than 30 thousand crimes, the total criminal activity decreased by 5.8%. In the structure of crime, the number of murders decreased by 20% and the facts of causing grievous bodily harm by 9%. These data were reported by the Minister of Internal Affairs for Bashkortostan, Police Lieutenant General Roman Deyev at a plenary meeting of the State Assembly RB today, on March 21. In his report on the results of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Bashkortostan in 2018, the Minister noted that the number of armed assaults, robberies, all kinds of thefts was decreasing.

“We have submitted more than 30 thousand criminal acts to the courts, among them about 5 thousand in the category of grievous and extremely grievous crimes. A number of high-profile crimes were revealed, including a contract killing of an entrepreneur in Ufa, double murders of pensioners in Beloretsk and Karmaskaly district, as well as 154 cases of remote fraud committed by a resident of the republic in several regions of Russia,” marked Deev.
