UFA, 2 November 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. On November 2, three suspects in the gang rape of a 23-year-old interrogating officer were arrested in the Kirovsky district court in Ufa.

Now the former chiefs of the Departments of MIA of Russia in the Ufa and Karmaskaly districts and their colleague from the migration department of the Ufa district are taken into custody in a courtroom. They will spend the next two months in a pretrial detention facility - until December 31 of the current year. If the investigation of the high-profile criminal case is not completed before this time, the Investigative Committee of the region will petition for an extension of the arrest.

“Investigators of the territorial investigative department together with investigators-criminologists of the investigative department of the republic continue initial investigative activity aimed at collecting and fixing evidence of the crime committed,” the press service of the Investigative Committee for the Republic of Bashkortostan reports.

According to investigators, on the night of October 29-30, 2018, the 23-year-old interrogator, the daughter of a high-ranking security official of the Rosgvardia Department of the Republic of Bashkortostan, was raped in the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Ufa district.

Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported that the spouse of one of the defendants in the criminal case had announced an alibi of her husband being allegedly at home on the day of the crime.
