6,000 crimes were solved in Bashkortostan in 2018

UFA, 4 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. About 6,000 crimes were solved in Bashkiria in the first nine months of 2018. Among them, 170 murders, more than 400 grievous bodily harm (78 cases resulted in the deaths of the victims), 46 rapes, 471 robberies, 126 robberies, more than 5,000 thefts (400 apartments, 432 cars), 270 hijackings of vehicles and about 700 frauds.

“Of the most striking examples, it is worth noting solving of the murder of a woman by her cohabitant on February 8, 2018. Also, a murder with the use of firearms in Inors neighborhood (February 11) was solved. In this case, two killers and the customer of the crime were detained,” said the head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Bashkortostan, police colonel Ramil Yermeyev.

Among frauds, police often encounter Internet fraudsters and criminals who enjoy the confidence of retirees and the elderly.
