Plane made crash landing due to engine ignition in Ufa

UFA, 22 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. On August 22, the Tu-204 of the Red Wings airline, which was performing Ufa-Sochi flight 808, made a crash landing at the Ufa airport at 05.06, local time, due to the ignition of the left engine.

According to the press service of the airport, there were 202 passengers on board.

All firefighting and emergency and rescue crews of the airport operated in accordance with the emergency plan. The passengers were evacuated with inflatable slides seven minutes after landing.

There were no casualties. The aircraft is suspended from flights, an investigation is being conducted.

The Ufa Airport is open for flights, which are performed according to the main schedule.
