Bashkiria Arbitration Court will consider whether Sistema JSFC was Bashneft’s bona fide purchaser

UFA, 13 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. The Arbitration Court of Bashkortostan has ordered further consideration of the Rosneft and Bashneft claim against Sistema JSFC on July 19. The lawyers of the defendant asked a month period to study the plaintiff's materials testifying in their opinion to the bad faith of Bashneft's purchaser. The debates of the parties on this issue became a central topic of the meeting held on July 12. Representatives of the defendant asked the court to attach to the case an opinion of experts of the Higher School of Economics, as opposed to the conclusion provided by the plaintiffs.

In addition, the court dismissed petitions by Felix Yevtushenkov, the son of the former owner and former top manager of Bashneft, who wanted to appear on behalf of the defendant, and the minority shareholder of the company Alexei Kislitsyn, who claimed to be the co-owner of Rosneft.

A Josef Nachmann’s petition for his involvement as a third party was postponed to the next meeting - the German citizen needs translation services.
