Rosneft’s claim amount to Sistema increased by 64 billion rubles

UFA, 25 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. The amount of the claim of PJSOC Rosneft to Sistema PJSFC increased from 106.6 billion to 170.6 billion rubles, the federal media reported. The relevant claim was submitted to the Arbitration Court of Bashkiria on May 23. The amount of the claim is increased due to the depreciation of the ruble.

On May 24, the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Bashkortostan appealed to the Arbitration Court to include the agency as a co-claimant of the previously submitted lawsuit (for 106.6 billion rubles), the Interfax reports.

In 2005, Sistema PJSFC bought blocking stakes in six Bashkir fuel and energy companies for $ 600 million - Bashneft, Ufaorgsintez, Novoil, Ufaneftekhim, Ufa Refinery and Bashkirnefteprodukt. In 2009, Sistema acquired controlling stakes in the Bashkir enterprises for $ 2.5 billion, and then consolidated them on the basis of Bashneft.

In December 2014, the Sistema package was transferred to the state property - the Federal Property Management Agency. In October 2016, Rosneft purchased 50.075% of Bashneft for 329.7 billion rubles. The blocking stake (25%) was transferred to Bashkortostan.
