Criminal gang tried to steal oil for 1.6 million rubles in Bashkiria

UFA, 9 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. In Bashkortostan a criminal gang tried to steal oil for 1.6 million rubles. Tuimazy Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office approved an indictment in a criminal case against six members of the gang. They were charged under the Article "Attempted grand theft of oil committed by an organized gang".

According to investigators, the main organizer of the criminal gang used to work for an oil company and knew the procedures there, as well as the transportation route of the oily liquid. Last autumn, he planned the theft of oil. The plotter involved in the case his former colleagues, having created an organized criminal gang. From February to May 2016 his accomplices working as drivers for the company and instead of transporting the liquid to the company’s branches stole it. They transported oil to the facility rented by their accomplice, where discharged it into a special tank, the press service of the Prosecutor's Office RB informs.

In May, police detained members of the group. More than 127 tons of oily liquid worth over 1.6 million rubles was found and seized from them. The criminal case was directed for consideration to Tuimazy District Court.
