Residents of six districts felt earthquake shocks in Ufa

UFA, 27 October 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. In Ufa residents of different parts of the city felt an earthquake shocks on October 26. According to the "Rescue Service 112", a small seismic activity was registered in six districts of the capital.

Calls were received from residents of Dema, Kalinin, Kiroy, Oktyabr, Soviet and Ordzhonikidze districts that have reported chandeliers swinging in their apartments and vibration of dishes. Representatives of district offices of civil protection were directed to houses and office buildings, where Ufa townspeople recorded seismic activity. Specialists conducted a visual inspection of buildings and surrounding areas for cracks or damage. No damage, including of life-support systems, have been identified.

As the "Rescue Service 112"explains, Bashkortostan is not a seismic area. A possible cause of the earthquake shocks in Ufa was an earthquake measuring 7.7 in Pakistan and Afghanistan happened on October 26.
