Cancer patients were denied treatment because of lack of medicines in Bashkiria

UFA, 9 October 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. In Bashkiria two cancer patients have complained to the prosecutor’s office on refuse in treatment. A Neftekamsk resident could not get a medication prescribed to him and had to buy the drug costing from 30 to 80 thousand rubles. A resident of Birsk was refused in chemotherapy due to lack of necessary medication. The medical institutions representatives explained lack of medicines by insufficient funding.

"Following the review of the prosecutor's remedial action order the man was provided the medicine, it was included in the list of need for the next year. The woman was held the necessary procedure", the republican prosecutor's office informs.
