Hurricane blew off the roof of five-story building in Bashkortostan: 22 tenants were evacuated

UFA, 5 October 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. In Bashkiria a hurricane was on Saturday. In some areas, power shutdowns were registered. According to the Emergency Situations Ministry in the republic, the largest accident occurred in the city of Sibay where an element of the roof of the five-story building collapsed. 11 adults and 11 children residing in the damaged part of the house were evacuated to temporary accommodation at the time of restoration works.

In Ufa, according to the city "Rescue Service 112" there were over 20 cases of trees falling on parked cars, roadway, wire transmission lines during the storm. Cases of iron sheets, a balcony fragment, an advertising banner falling off were registered.

Wind gusts caused material damage, but there were no victims suffered from the bad weather. At critical infrastructure facilities there were no cases of emergency, the Bashkir Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
