Airbus A321 with Ufa tourists on board made an emergency landing in Sharm el-Sheikh

UFA, 9 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. Aircraft of «NordWind» airline making a charter flight Sharm El Sheikh - Ufa, landed due to technical reasons. There were 232 passengers on board of Airbus A321 and nine crew members. No one was injured.

The first media reports said that the aircraft had an engine failure. Having returned back at the airport of departure the Airbus was forced to use up fuel before landing and landed on the air strip covered with a firefighting foam.

A representative of the tour operator told Interfax that during the flight alarm sensors had activated on board, so it was decided to go back to the Egyptian airport.

Ufa tourists were taken by another plane, which should arrive at their destination at 17.45, local time. The airliner, which made an emergency landing, is being examined by the specialists.
