Court ordered Bashneft to provide usage of associated petroleum gas

UFA, 4 March 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. Bashkortostan Supreme Court sustained a claim of the Environmental Prosecutor's Office and ordered JSOC Bashneft to eliminate violations of law on mineral resources.

Earlier while the prosecutor's investigation it was revealed that in violation of the license and project documentation, the company did not provide the cleaning and usage of 95 percent of associated gas at 52 fields.

In fact the company burned gas flares instead of its collection and use, including for heating. This led to misallocation of natural resources and pollution of air with hydrogen sulphide, the press service of the Prosecutor's Office RB explained.
