Crime prevention program was approved in Bashkortostan
Bashkortostan Government approved a republican target program of crime prevention and fight against crime for year of 2014. 55,462.7 thousand rubles are allocated for its implementation from the regional budget.
The aim of the program is to reduce crime rate by 2 percent per 10,000 people in the current year compared with 2013. It is expected a decline of 1.5 percent in number of registered crimes; a decline of 2.2 percent - in number of committed public offenses involving threat to life, health and property of citizens; decline in number of crimes committed by previously convicted persons, as well as minors (by 0.7 and 2.3 percent, respectively).
Overall control of the program is assigned to the Government RB and the Commission on Crime Prevention and Fight Against Crime, the official legal web portal of Bashkortostan informs.
