Interpol checked trade of medicines in Bashkiria

In Bashkortostan the "Pangea" operation was held organized by Interpol, during which 381 organizations specializing in wholesale and retail trade of medicines were checked. 12 cases of drugs sale without a license, and sale of counterfeit medicines and dietary supplements were revealed. Several individuals were held administratively liable for illegal sale of goods, free sale of which is prohibited or restricted.

Members of the criminal group engaged in illegal sales of anabolic steroids were detained during the operation. Four websites were identified where the sale of OTC drugs with limited circulation was conducted. Checks and procedural decisions are taken against offenders. Units of Bashkortostan customs, FSB, Roszdravnadzor (Federal Service on Surveillance in Healthcare and Social Development) were involved in the operation, the department of the National Central Bureau of Interpol of MIA RB reports.
