Members of "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami " cell are convicted in Sibay

In Sibay an organizer of the extremist cell and four its members are convicted. According to the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the defendants regularly conducted clandestine meetings and classes in a rented apartment promoting extremist ideas.

"At their meetings members of the group discussed plans to change the political system and the state structure including of the Russian Federation, with a view to incorporate them into the World Caliphate. The criminal prosecution was initiated on the grounds of a voluntary delivery of the book "Islam System" to a police officer by a citizen who was let in the activities of the cell", the department reports.

The organizer was sentenced to two years of imprisonment in a penal colony. Members of the group were sentenced to fines ranging from 100 thousand to 150 thousand rubles.
