LLC Bashneft-Dobycha is fined for air pollution

LLC "Bashneft - Dobycha" is fined for violation of environmental requirements while oil storage and transportation, according to the Prosecutor's Office of Bashkortostan Republic.

Oil-gathering station "Alatorka" of Bashneft-Dobycha emitted in the air carbon monoxide and hazardous carcinogen benzpyrene in the above maximum allowable concentrations. Soot and dust were emitted in the air "in non-measured quantities". Bashkir District Environmental Prosecutor's Office conducted an inspection on numerous requests of Gribovka villagers who complained of environmental legislation violation.

Administrative proceedings were commenced against the oil-extraction organization and the head of the station - the sum of the fine was 22,000 rubles. The company eliminated the violations. The head of the station was dismissed.

LLC "Bashneft - Dobycha" - is the main extraction enterprise of JSOC Bashneft. It was

created in October 2009 during the arrangement of a vertically integrated oil company structure as wholly owned subsidiary of Bashneft.
