A man jumped from the 8th floor and survived in Ufa

Investigative Committee conducted an investigation of an accident in the Soviet residential district of Ufa. A 25-year-old citizen was admitted to hospital with injuries typical of a fall from height.

He told investigators that he had lost his job the day before and wanted to commit a suicide. The decision was made under the influence of alcohol. The man jumped from the window of his apartment on the eighth floor. The fall was cushioned by tree branches in which he tangled and by a snowdrift where he landed.

The doctors did not find serious injuries at him. After treating scratches doctors sent him home and reported the incident to the police.
