Bashkortostan Investigative Committee returned 170 million rubles of unpaid taxes to the republican budget
A panel of the Republican Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee devoted to the results of the year took place in Ufa. Analyzing the investigation of economic crimes, the head of the department Alexey Kasyanov said that in 2013 the Bashkortostan Committee investigated 20 criminal cases on non-payment of wages, and 48 cases of tax evasion. During the investigation, the debtors - employers paid employees more than half of the damage - 19 million rubles, and the budget was replenished by 170 million rubles sheltered from taxes.
"Another important aspect of the Investigative Committee activity is corruption counteraction. The Investigative Committee investigates 80 percent of all corruption offenses. Bashkir Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee is among the top ten of the subjects RF by number of cleared corruption cases. In 2013, our employees investigated 513 such cases, including 198 criminal cases of bribery. 234 cases were sent to the courts", Major General said noting that it would be impossible to reach such results "without good support of the preliminary investigation carried out by the police and prosecutors".
