Overlap collapsed due to overload at the shop of Bashkir Soda Company

As reported by the JSC "Bashkir Soda Company", on February 4, at 17 o’clock in the shop ADK-1 a part of the metal overlap at 8.0 m collapsed. The cause is violation of the organization works procedure on the equipment cleaning between the contractor and the customer.

As a result an overload with gypsum crust and sand occurred that had been formed while cleaning the mixer SM-3. The mixer was cleaned by workers of the contracting organization.

The design of overlaps is defined by the shop building project and is determined by the specific production of soda ash.

There were no casualties. The committee is formed, which is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
