Bashkortostan President met with the victims of Yanaul tragedy

As previously reported, today President of Bashkortostan is on the scene of fire in Yanaul. The head of the republic examined the house where was an explosion of a gas cylinder, visited the damaged entrance hallways. During the inspection of the building, it was found that the heating system was not broken, but all the windows were smashed. After inspecting the house the President instructed builders and administration of Yanaulsky region to make urgent sealing of the building, to close apertures in order to prevent its complete freezing. All available facilities in the city should be used to renew smashed windows. In addition, the head of the republic instructed builders to assess the state of load-bearing structures of the building in order to define its reconstruction capacity.

Then Rustem Khamitov met with the tenants suffered due to the fire. The head of the republic talked to them, listened to their questions. People expressed their grievances to work of fire brigades, which had arrived on the scene with a long delay. According to the tenants, the fire was extinguished with plain water without modern foam fire extinguishing means.

In this regard, the President charged the management of Bashkortostan EMERCOM to submit a complete report on fire emergency liquidation during the day. The head of the republic assured the suffered tenants that appropriate measures would be taken on all questions mentioned during the meeting. Losses of property will be reimbursed.

Rustem Khamitov visited also boarding schools for children, where the suffered people were accommodated. The head of the republic set a task to the regional management to provide all conditions for comfortable living in places of temporary accommodation - to provide articles of prime necessity, clothes, utensils, bedding and heaters, to render necessary medical and psychological care. Urgent measures must be taken for rehabilitation of victims in republican sanatoriums. The President instructed the relevant services and lawyers to make prompt reissuance of documents to the people lost them in the fire.
