Bashkir Customs officers have revealed a fact of undeclared iPhone 5c and 5s sale

Bashkortostan Customs established facts of illegal sale of Apple smartphones (iPhone 5c and 5s) for total cost of more than 160 thousand rbl in the territory of Ufa. One of private entrepreneurs offered them for sale. Investigatory proceedings are carried out now for establishing all circumstances of undeclared iPhone sale.

In case of failure to submit documentary confirmed data concerning legality of mobile phones import an administrative offence case according to Art. 16.21 Administrative Code of the Russian Federation will be initiated against the businessman, the Customs spokesmen explain.

According to Apple representative office in Russia —«Apple Rus» LLC — start of official sales of new models iPhone 5c and 5s in Russia is preliminary planned for October 25. Only since this date their appearance in shops will be lawful. While iPhone 5c and 5s cannot be legally put up for sale as officially they were not declared in customs bodies of Russia at crossing through the state border.
