Corrupt officials will answer in law in Bashkortostan

As Bashinform News Agency informed the day before, a criminal case is initiated in the republic on illegal transaction registration with the distrained property. It is not the first case when legitimate interests of the state are infringed by officials.

In particular, recently the criminal case concerning employees of the Ministry of Forestry RB, administration of Karaidelsky region and the Karaidelsky forest area was given wide publicity, which illegal activity inflicted harm to the state.

The President of the republic constantly calls law enforcement agencies for making efforts in revealing promptly and rigidly any displays of corruption, struggling more actively against officials-swindlers and holding them liable for their activity.

In 2012 in Bashkortostan almost 1700 corruption crimes were revealed - by one third more than in 2011. 233 criminal cases on similar crimes were considered in courts. Employees of law enforcement bodies, deputies of local governments, heads of municipal unions, officials of executive bodies were among those arraigned on criminal charge.
