Ice jam on the river White in Birsk region is liquidated

The ice jam on the river White in Birsk area is liquidated by the response team of the Bashkortostan Main Office of EMERCOM. The water level decreases, the press-service of the department informs. It should be mentioned that in Birsk region because of an ice jam 64 houses turned out to be in the zone of possible flooding from Beryozovka village to Kamyshinki village (126 people, including 59 children).

At present the water level has considerably decreased, the situation is stabilised. The response team of the Bashkortostan Main Office of EMERCOM continues to supervise the situation. In case of aggravation of the situation twenty-four-hour alert of forces and facilities of Emergency Rescue Service RB and the Volga Search and Rescue Group of the EMERCOM is organised.

In total two current events are under control of emergency services of the republic. In Sterlitamak eight apartment houses and eight land plots remain flooded. The water level gradually decreases, for ten hours it fell down by 40 cm. Evacuated inhabitants came back their homes.
