Internet will be brought to 35 settlements of Trans-Urals
In each of the districts of the Trans-Urals, five settlements will be provided with broadband internet access.
Minister of Digital Development of the Republic, Gennady Razumikin, reported at a committee meeting in the State Assembly of the Republic of Bashkortostan that the republic is implementing a project called "Accessible Internet" in cooperation with Bashinformsvyaz and Rostelecom. In previous years, the project provided more than 70,000 households in nearly 300 villages and rural areas with wired internet.
This year, the project's third iteration has begun. By agreement with the former Prime Minister of the Republic, Andrey Nazarov, the project will be conducted in the Trans-Urals. In each of the districts of the Trans-Urals, five settlements will be provided with broadband internet access — a total of 35 settlements in seven districts.
