Size of economically active population of Bashkiria has become known
Statistics officials in Bashkiria have released new data on the region's labor force.
According to a sample survey by Bashstat, the labor force aged 15 and older in May–July 2026 totaled 1,962.5 thousand people.
Of these, 1.935 million, or 98.6% of the labor force, were classified as employed in economic activity. The remaining 27.6 thousand people (1.4%) were classified as unemployed, meeting the International Labor Organization criteria. That is, they did not have a job or gainful occupation, were looking for work, and were ready to start it during the surveyed week.
