In Bashkiria, winter sowing plan has almost been fulfilled
Farmers in the Republic of Bashkortostan are continuing to sow winter crops, the regional Ministry of Agriculture reported.
Currently, 267 thousand hectares, or 71% of the planned area, have been sown with winter crops in the republic—wheat accounts for the largest share of the "winter" sowing, at 222 thousand hectares. Rye follows at 28.8 thousand hectares, winter rapeseed at 10 thousand hectares, and triticale at 2.5 thousand hectares.
"In eight districts of the republic, the winter crop sowing plan has been fully completed, and in six others, work is nearing completion. Ensuring the region and the country have grain corresponds to the goals of the 'Technological Support for Food Security' national project," added the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkiria.
In total, the region plans to sow more than 370 thousand hectares for the 2027 harvest.
