1.1 million people flew from Ufa abroad and to other cities over summer
This equals the population of the entire city.
The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Bashkortostan calculated the passenger air traffic for the three summer months. In total, from June to August, more than 1.1 million people flew from Ufa, of whom more than 361 thousand went abroad.
Tourist traffic to Yerevan grew by more than two times (113%), to Tbilisi — almost by two times (+85%), similarly — to the Egyptian Hurghada (+84%).
The most popular domestic tourism destinations have traditionally been Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and Sochi. People began flying to Altai twice as much (+98%), and to Novosibirsk by a third (+36%).
In total, from January to August, 3.23 million people flew from Ufa airport, of whom 666 thousand went abroad.
