The harvest in Bashkiria has reached its halfway point, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkortostan stated.
To date, the republic's grain growers have threshed half of the area under grain and leguminous crops — almost 650 thousand hectares.
"1.9 million tons of new crop grain have been stored," the agricultural department noted, adding that ensuring the region and the country have grain meets the goals of the national project "Technological Provision of Food Security."
Sterlitamaksky District continues to confidently maintain the lead in gross threshing, with its farms having collected 154 thousand tons of grain. In addition, farmers in Chekmagushevsky, Aurgazinsky, and Davlekanovsky districts have surpassed the 100 thousand-ton "grain" milestone.
The average yield is slightly less than 30 centners per hectare. Meanwhile, Chekmagushevsky and Karmaskalinsky districts are collecting 47 and 44 centners per hectare, respectively.
