Elevators and sugar factories of Bashkiria are preparing for new season
In Bashkiria, preparations of elevators and sugar factories for receiving the new harvest are being completed, Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkortostan Ilshat Fazrakhmanov reported at an operational government meeting.
In parallel, the sugar factories of Bashkiria — Raevsakhar and Chishminsky Sugar Plant — are also preparing for the season. The daily processing capacity of each of them reaches 12 thousand tons of sugar beets. At the same time, each plant plans to receive 1 million tons of raw materials. The launch of the enterprises is scheduled for the end of August.
As Bashinform reported, as of August 3, the republic's farmers have threshed 165 thousand hectares — this is about 13% of the total harvesting area. 600 thousand tons of grain have already been threshed. The average yield exceeded 36 centners per hectare — 5 centners per hectare higher than last year's figure.
