Half million tons of grain threshed in Bashkiria
By July 30, the republic's grain growers had threshed more than half a million tons of grain, the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkiria reported. This is twice as much as on the same day a year ago. Grain harvesting is underway in farms across 45 districts; for now, they are mainly harvesting winter crops. 135 thousand hectares have been mown, which is almost half of all the area sown in the fall of last year. 454 thousand tons of winter wheat, 36.4 thousand tons of rye, and 3 thousand tons of triticale have been threshed. In several districts, they have also begun harvesting peas, barley, and oats. Next in line is the main crop — spring wheat, as well as oilseeds: rapeseed, mustard, flax, soy, and sunflower.
In 2025, the grain harvest amounted to 3.6 million tons. The largest harvest of recent years was in 2022 — 5 million tons of grain.
