Share of Bashkortostan residents with self-prohibited loans has reached 18%

According to the United Credit Bureau, 720,800 Bashkortostan residents had self-prohibited loans in June. This represents 18% of the region's total population—one of the highest shares in the country. In June, 42,710 applications for self-prohibited loans (again, the same as when the service launched) and 11,040 applications for withdrawals were submitted in Bashkortostan. Since March 2025, nearly 925,000 applications have been submitted, and nearly 131,000 have changed their minds.

The largest number of self-prohibited loans are among Russians aged 35-45—20.3% of the total number of citizens with this status. The share of citizens over 65 has increased to 20.0%. Russians aged 55-65 accounted for 19.6%. Citizens aged 45-55 accounted for 19.4% of self-prohibitions, Russians aged 25-35 accounted for 11.5%, and young people under 25 accounted for 9.2%. Complete self-prohibitions predominate, accounting for 91.3% of all applications.
