Bashkortostan exported large shipment of sawn timber to Central Asia.
Lumber from Bashkortostan is in demand abroad. A large shipment of timber products from the region was exported to Central Asia the day before, according to the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for the Republic of Bashkortostan.
At the end of June, employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for Bashkortostan inspected approximately 2,200 cubic meters of softwood sawn timber exported from the Beloretsk District to Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
"According to the results of entomological examinations, no quarantine pests were detected in the timber samples. The products meet the phytosanitary safety requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union and importing countries," the supervisory agency noted, adding that since the beginning of this year, Bashkortostan's timber industry enterprises have sold over 23,000 cubic meters of sawn timber abroad.
