The average monthly nominal accrued salary of employees for a period is determined by dividing the accrued payroll by the average number of employees and the number of months in the period.
Accrued salary includes taxes and employee deductions. Social benefits received by employees from state and non-state extra-budgetary funds are not included in payroll or the average monthly salary.
The real wage index is calculated to characterize changes in the purchasing power of wages relative to changes in the prices of consumer goods and services. It is calculated by dividing the nominal wage index by the consumer price index.
