Since the beginning of the year, the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Republic of Bashkortostan has issued 5,079 quarantine certificates for more than 290 thousand tons of grain and grain products prepared by the republic's farmers for shipment to other regions of Russia.
The geography of shipments has also expanded significantly. Grain products from the Republic of Bashkortostan have been shipped to more than 28 regions of Russia. The republic's farmers sold the most wheat — over 193 thousand tons. In addition, almost 75 thousand tons of barley, 0.4 thousand tons of peas, about 9 thousand tons of sunflower seeds for processing, over 4 thousand tons of flax, 3 thousand tons of rye, and almost 2 thousand tons of cereals were sold to the regions.
Samples of the quarantined products underwent entomological, herbological, and mycological studies at the Bashkir Testing Laboratory under the jurisdiction of Rosselkhoznadzor. Based on the results of phytosanitary examinations, no dangerous quarantine organisms or pests of grain stocks were detected. The grain and its processed products comply with the phytosanitary safety requirements of GOST and the EAEU.
