

Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, thanked the farmers for the prompt conduct of the sowing campaign.
In this season, the region’s farmers carried out spring field work in an organized manner, noted Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkortostan Ilshat Fazrakhmanov at an operational meeting of the government.
"As of this morning, 1.883 million hectares have been sown, which is more than 95 percent of what was planned. It remains to sow late heat-loving crops: buckwheat and millet. Overall, we are finishing the sowing campaign 10-12 days earlier than the optimal scientific deadlines designated for Bashkiria," emphasized Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.
Of the 1.883 million hectares sown, more than 1 million hectares account for grain and leguminous crops. 707 thousand hectares have been sown with oilseeds, more than 40 thousand hectares with sugar beets, and 126 thousand hectares with fodder crops.
