In the Buraevsky district of the Republic of Bashkortostan, experimental plots are being successfully established to test varieties of grain, grain legumes, and perennial forage grasses, the district administration reports. This year, non-zoned varieties have been added to the trials, placed next to those zoned for the 9th region. The Department of Agriculture is implementing the project with support from agronomists at the Rosselkhoztsentr branch.
More than 50 varieties have been selected for testing, whose seeds have undergone thorough verification of sowing qualities and germination at the Buraevsky district branch of the Rosselkhoztsentr institution.
Throughout the growing season, students in an agricultural class actively participate in the work. Together with the staff, they will conduct phytosanitary monitoring and record the plants' condition. The data obtained will be summarized, analyzed, and presented to the district's agricultural producers.
