Sowing campaign in Bashkiria has passed "equator"
Deputy Prime Minister of the Government - Minister of Agriculture of Bashkiria, Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, reported operational data on the progress of the sowing campaign in the region.
To date, more than 65% of the planned areas, or 1.306 million hectares, have been sown with spring crops in the republic. Last week, farmers were sowing approximately 80 thousand hectares daily.
In 33 districts of the republic, more than 50% of the areas have been sown at the moment.
Meanwhile, farms in 18 districts of Bashkiria have started maintenance work on winter crops, spring grains, and sugar beets. By May 15, chemical weeding had been carried out on 73 thousand hectares.
