Spring field work has begun in most districts of Bashkiria
Farmers in 44 districts of Bashkiria have started spring field work, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkortostan reported.
Work is most active on applying fertilizers to winter grain crops. By April 16, top dressing had been carried out on more than 60,000 hectares, exceeding 20% of the total area.
In 20 districts of the republic, fertilizers are already being applied to perennial grasses. The volume of such work has been completed by one-third. In 26 districts, they have started the main pre-sowing operation — moisture retention. It was carried out on more than 17,000 hectares.
