91-year-old woman defrauded of 3 million rubles in Bashkortostan
Unfortunately, residents of the republic continue to send large sums to scammers, the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Bashkortostan notes. Recently, a 91-year-old resident of Ufa was deceived using a "prehistoric" scheme.
The woman received a call allegedly from a hospital with news that her daughter had been injured in a car accident, and money was needed for treatment. The victim handed over 3 million rubles to a courier.
