In Bashkortostan, 205 thousand tons of sugar have been produced

The peak of the season is underway at sugar plants in Bashkortostan. Enterprises are actively processing sugar beets from the 2025 harvest, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic reported.

To date, 205,000 tons of sugar have been produced in the region. As of January 29, 1.5 million tons of root crops have been processed. Of this volume, 767 thousand tons were processed at the Chishmy Sugar Plant. The plant produced 107,000 tons of white sugar, 20 percent more than last year.

It is worth recalling that sugar beet farms in the region harvested 2.1 million tons last year, with a record average yield of more than 480 centners per hectare.
