Heads of municipalities from the Amur, Ulyanovsk, and Chelyabinsk regions, as well as from the Donetsk People’s Republic, visited the Republic of Bashkortostan as part of the forum “Small Homeland - the Strength of Russia.” The program included a visit to the fifth site of the Alga Special Economic Zone (SEZ) - the Ufimsky Industrial Park.
Special economic zones may be located across the territories of several municipalities; therefore, effective cooperation with district authorities is essential, noted Artem Penzin, Director of the SEZ management company.
The delegations also visited the Bashkir–Belarusian agricultural machinery plant Amkodor-Agidel and the Rossilber lubricants production facility.
“This is a truly impressive industrial park, bringing together a wide range of facilities and technologies that contribute to import substitution across the country. We discussed potential areas of cooperation with company executives. There are several proposals, and I believe we will find common ground.” said Vladislav Klyucharov, Head of Makeevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
The Alga Special Economic Zone is located within the Sterlitamak, Ishimbay, and Ufimsky districts. Its total area currently amounts to 763 hectares. In 2025, SEZ Alga ranked third in Russia’s National Investment Attractiveness Ranking of Special Economic Zones and increased its investment portfolio to 3 billion rubles.
