An agricultural enterprise in the Abzelilovsky District of Bashkortostan exported 1,092 tons of food flax to China, according to the Rosselkhoznadzor office for the republic.
The batch of oilseed flax, loaded into 42 railway cars, was inspected and processed by the agency. The flax samples underwent all necessary laboratory testing.
"According to the results of entomological, herbological, helminthological, and mycological examinations, no dangerous quarantine organisms were detected in the oil flax samples. The plant-based products fully comply with the importing country's requirements," the Rosselkhoznadzor statement stated. In the first quarter of 2025, Bashkortostan's agricultural producers exported 13,307 tons of food flax to the EU, EAEU, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Israel, and China. China accounted for the most significant volume of exports, with over 9,000 tons. Belarus purchased over 2,700 tons from Bashkortostan, over 1,200 tons were shipped to Kazakhstan, and nearly 355 tons were exported to Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Israel.
