This year, Bashkortostan's forestry enterprises have grown over 48.6 million seedlings.
The majority of these seedlings are pine and spruce. According to Albert Zakirov, Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic, the choice of conifers is no accident. He noted that these trees are ideally suited to the Bashkir climate. Furthermore, they have a fast growth rate and are in demand on the market.
"Spruce and pine ensure the economic efficiency of forestry and also restore valuable forest lands," explained Albert Zakirov.
In 2026, the entire volume of commercially valuable conifer seedlings will be used for reforestation and environmental conservation activities.
