Inflation in Bashkortostan fell to 8.1%
In October, annual inflation in Bashkortostan declined to 8.1%. At the same time, prices in the republic increased by 0.8% over the month compared to September, according to the press service of the National Bank of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Regarding price reductions, given the new harvest and high reserves from previous years, sugar prices in the region have fallen significantly. Among non-food items, household appliances, computer equipment, smartphones, and electrical goods have become slightly more affordable. Demand for these items remains low due to high loan rates, experts note.
The prices of fruits and vegetables have increased slightly due to seasonal factors. For example, open-field tomatoes and cucumbers have given way to more expensive greenhouse-grown ones, and domestic fruits have given way to imported ones.
Among non-food items, prices have increased for perfumes and cosmetics, as well as detergents and cleaning products. Their manufacturers passed on rising costs for raw materials, supplies, transportation, and labor into their prices.
